Senior Patent Agent - Chemical Arts

Principal responsibilities of the position
of Senior Patent Agent, Chemical Arts will include
patentability assessments for inventions arising out
of the Company's small molecule programs and client
counseling.
Requirements:
The applicant will possess the requisite experience
to independently prepare and prosecute chemical
patent applications emanating from the Company's
small molecule research programs. Experience in the
area of pharmaceutical chemistry in one or more of
the cardiovascular, immunomodulatory, autoimmune,
and/or antifibrotic therapeutic fields would be
desirable. The applicant must have a strong
background in organic chemistry, including a Ph.D.
degree in organic chemistry, research experience in
organic chemistry, and 3-5 years experience in
drafting and prosecuting patent applications,
specifically in the area of pharmaceutical
chemistry. Candidates should have successfully
completed the registration exam offered by the U.S.
Patent and Trademark Office leading to registration
to practice before the Patent and Trademark Office,
have law firm experience and training, and must be
enrolled in a JD program at an accredited law

experience in IPO, SEC compliance and corporate
transactional matters. This candidate must already
be at the partner level, must have substantial IPO
and SEC compliance experience and should have
portable billings. This is a partner-level position.
